The past month and a half has been pretty straight-forward. Nothing too exciting happened over Halloween. Thanksgiving though was pretty fulFILLING if you catch my drift. But now November has come and gone, and once again all the out-of-season decorating now has some meaning.

But with the December holiday also comes the numerous irritations that follow. Shopping, cold weather, shopping, tacky lighting arrangements, shopping, tolerating family instead of loving them, did I mention shopping? Many have lost sight of the true meaning of Christmas. I can gladly say that mine has not. We may have problems that come along, but we take it all in stride.

My father cooks up what could be considered a gourmet class meal for my mother's co-workers each year, but loves seeing the satisfaction on their faces knowing he did a good job. I do to, so I'll be helping him with it this year.

Me, I trudge through school/work begging for the Holiday Vacation to be upon me, but keep a steady pace and often find how quickly the time flies by.

The point I'm making is, unless you like being stressed out on the holidays, don't get washed up with all the sales, traffic, anything that would make you throttle someone in their sleep. Don't give in to the Holiday Clusterf### because if you have a reason to smile this season, focus primarily on that. You might find yourself enjoying the season more than usual.
